The Maze Runner is the first book in a trilogy set in a massive ever-changing maze. Some children within its walls have been there for two years, others just weeks, but there seems to be no escaping its confines. They have no knowledge of their pasts nor the reason of their being there. But they do know that time is running out for them to escape the maze.
I really enjoyed this book and the other books in the trilogy, The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure. They were all relatively short reads, partly because they are very hard to put down once I started reading. I would recommend these books for kids 12 to 16 and anyone who liked the Hunger Games.
